Singularity Delivers Wishes and Dreams for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
September 8, 2006Singularity Design is proud to announce the launch of the Wishes and Dreams Gala website and online auction. New website helps support the efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
On October 13, 2006, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will honor individuals in the medical community for providing outstanding patient care at a gala at the Crystal Tea Room in center city Philadelphia. Money raised by ticket sales for the Wishes and Dreams Gala, and the accompanying charity auction, will go towards research for a cure to cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 people in the United States. For people with the disease, a defective gene causes the body to produce a faulty protein that can lead to fatal lung infections.
In order to generate buzz leading up to the gala, and pre-register auction bids, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation approached Singularity Design to craft a website for the event. In order to provide the maximum visual impact and smoothest operation, Singularity chose to develop this site using Macromedia Flash technology, married to an ASP.NET/SQL Server back-end. The resulting website is a seamless blend of animation, custom graphics and 3d renderings and a fully functional auction interface, all delivered with an inspiring touch of starlight.
