The Red Cross Alerts system allows the American Red Cross, Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter to broadcast announcements related to urgent disaster relief, emergency preparedness events, and fundraising initiatives via a unique button placed on the websites of its corporate supporters. Once the advertisement is placed on a website, the Red Cross can control a set of rotating messages (each with its own distinct hyperlinked URL) from a single, central location. As the network of supporter sites grows, so does the ability of the American Red Cross to rally support in times of need and increase public awareness year-round.
